Daylight Lights For Visibility
Does anyone have suggestions for both front and rear lights to make me more visible when I ride alone during the day? I have a decent rear light, but still would like to hear what others recommend. Thanks.
B16 - Thursday 5:45am Central Park laps - canceled
Once again the weather forecast is showing a really high chance of rain in the morning, so I'm canceling. That means I will once again go to spin class.
I hope next week's weather is better.
Garmin Flakiness
I know, to be expected, but has anyone experienced erratic speed and heart rate ? (E.g. If the HR was accurate I would not be writing this.)
They're not always off, just intermittently. All I could think to do is swap out the batteries. Any other ideas?
It's an Edge 1000.
Thanks
2017 Specialized Roubaix
Anybody have experience with this? (2017 only, as it's quite changed from prior years).
Is the ride as smooth as they say?
Any downsides to the suspension in the front? When standing and going up a steep hill, does the suspension become a negative?
Tuesday - 5:45am B16 laps in Central Park - canceled
Sorry. The weather. Again. Let's hope Thursday is better.
New Bike Help
Hi everyone,
Apologies in advance as I know that this question has probably been asked before. If so, perhaps someone can direct me to the previous post.
I am an amateur rider with a number of years of NYC commuting under my belt but only a few longer rides outside the city of 60 to 70 miles. My bike was recently stolen and I am looking for a replacement. I'm hoping I can get the club memebers to help as I don't really know much about bike brands and their particulars. I have some idea of what I'm looking for and my budget and hope I can impose on you all for some suggestions. I've done some research online but frankly feel a little overwhelmed.
A cautionary red light tale
As the temperature gets warmer and more bicyclists venture out on the road after a long hibernation, this will signal the annual NYPD ticket blitz will soon to follow. Seems NYPD can/will use Vision Zero policy on bicyclists as well.
