I have a friend who is new to cycling and interested in starting with a hybrid bike (mostly for riding in the city). Basic specs include: 56cm, multi-speed, and flat handlebars. Craigslist and other forums have proven unsuccessful, so the hope is that the NYCC community may come through. Thank you!

I'm Jonathan Aitken, My wife and I are moving to NYC in 2 weeks from Vancouver, Canada. I just joined NYCC (yes, even before I moved).  I am currently in a bike club here (Lotus cycling). I just upgraded from the B group the A group here after training all winter.  I cant wait to ride with the B group.  But, I am looking for a bike to ride in NY.  I am going to be Bi-Coastal for a while and want to get a road bike to keep in NY.  

Ideally disc brakes and electronic shifting.  

So if anyone has an extra one they are willing to part with, or has a good suggestion for a used bike, let me know.

Aluminum disc brake wheels set up to swap out the gravel wheels on my CX so I can do road riding. Used for about a year. Very good condition. 2021 model. Decal is gray (not white) and it's less obvious than the current model.
