I am looking for a cyclocross bike to use for occasional gravel road riding but mostly commuting.... I am looking for an older model that I can comfortably lock up outside.

this is the top of the line indoor cycle from Cycleops. I've owned this unit for more than a year. purchased at Brands Cycle for $2700.00. What makes this cycle special is the built in powertap and joule control unit. for example, i'll ride for 10 mins. at 100watts, 20 mins. at 200watts, then 15 mins. at 300watts all controlled by adjusting the joule. there's also an interval screen where you can mark everything as intervals. i also ride it to see how long i can hold 400watts for. you can do different kinds of workouts with this bike but this is just one way i use it. since it is wireless there is some lag time for the powertap to catch up with the joule but not enough to ruin a workout.
