This is a variation on existing Ashokan Reservoir loops to include rail trails, which gives more shade in summer and less motor traffic year round, certainly not a dedicated gravel route.

Route takes advantage of trails where possible. Gravel is suitable for road bikes with at least 25m tires.

This route contiues to refine. It now includes Lapla Road, which features a cascading brook on the left, new pavement as of this writing, and a gread downhill section as it approaches its end.

There is a dangerous left off 32 to 213 just after the bridge merely 0.3 miles from turning onto Rt 32. Rapid motor traffic in both directions and a narrow shoulder might force you to continue on 32 past the turn, making a U turn when safe, and taking a right on 213.
