New Jersey Transit from Hoboken on the Main/Bergen County line to Sloatsburg. Note that trains run infrequently. If you return late or early, the next station option for hourly service is Suffern, not a bike friendly ride down Rt 17.

Ringwood has a vast array of trails and roads for all levels of cycling.

You will need a map to have on hand when you explore Ringwood as trails are not well marked. A GPS device is ideal.

This area is surprisingly easy to access from Manhattan as the PATH train takes you directly to the Hoboken trail terminal.
