Look I wasn't lying when I said that our last ride on Staten Island was going to be our last ride of the season. That's what the plan was but then someone e-mailed me asking me when we're going to host another one and when I looked at the long range weather forecast for Sunday(high of 44 degrees!) I thought "Why the heck not?".

So with that in mind we're heading back to SI one more time. This route is going to be a little longer than the SI Merit Badge Ride and it's going to have more climbing as well. We'll have short climbs like Theresa Place and we'll have longer climbs up Douglas Road but what we won't have is Oakland Terrace. :-(

Don't worry we're going to take a different approach to the top of Grymes Hill for our last climb of the day and you're not going to know what it is until you get the cue sheet on the ferry.

Bundle up and we'll see you on Sunday at 8:15AM at the Whitehall Ferry Terminal in Lower Manhattan.

It Will Be A Balmy 40 Degrees

It's going to be a beautiful and balmy 40 degrees on Sunday. Perfect weather for riding on Staten Island. In fact we'll be doing so much hill climbing that you won't even notice the cold.

I've set up the cue sheet so that we can either do a simple 30-mile route (I said simple not easy) or we can make it a 50-mile route by heading down to the Towne Deli in Tottenville.

See you at the Whitehall Ferry terminal in lower Manhattan at 8:15AM on Sunday morning.
