Does anybody have a retired old pair of Sidis just sitting around with sound ratchet buckles? One of my ratchet buckles has broken on my Dragons, and I would rather just replace the broken one than buy a new pair of buckles which require the purchase of new straps as well. Drop me a line if you might be willing to part with such a part!. The red/black/silver model is preferred, but I would consider purchase of another option that functions fully.

Cheers, ya'll!

I still have all my old Sidi

I still have all my old Sidi shoes. There are several places on the internet where you can order the right buckle and ratchet parts for your particular shoe.

Old Sidi Buckle

Dear Champamoore,

It sounds like you have one of the older, Ultra buckles with the aluminum lever? There was a subsequent version of that buckle (Ultra SL), but both have been discontinued (about 2 years now). The replacement buckle system is called the Caliper Buckle. As you correctly indicated, if you upgraded to the new buckle, you will have to change the strap, as the Caliper Strap is also different. If you cannot find a used buckle out there, chances are that some shops will still be sitting on some old replacement parts. If you do not have any luck there, you can purchase the new parts here: http://stores.ebay.com/Alpha-Sports-Associates

thanks for the info,

thanks for the info, guys.

oldtimer- i am looking for a single discontinued oldschool buckle, not a pair.

the links you posted only offer the new-style buckles, in pairs, which require the purchase of new straps as well as one more buckle than i currently need.

thanks for the thought!

My apologies, the buckles I

My apologies, the buckles I replaced were the old style. All plastic. I see Al Budris from Sidi posted some use information. That was incredibly nice, and another reason to love Sidi shoes.
