I have a lot of different

I have a lot of different pain issues that have crept up throughout the years and I have had three professional bike fits to try to fix them. I have had a bike fit at Toga with the Retul system and I have had a bike fit with Mike Sherry from Performance Labs. Both will give you a general bike fit, but they were not able to help me with knee pain. If you have ITB syndrome, chondromalacia, patellofemoral chondrosis, tendonitis, etc. I have not found a bike fitter who can help. I also spoke with Grant Salter from Signature Cycles who is supposed to be one of the best places to have a bike fit, and he also kind of explained to me he wouldn't be of any help. If you have an okay bike fit, these guys can't really help. My experience shows me, you are better off talking to a physical therapist or a doctor. You can try to move things in your bike around as much you want., but the problem is usually something else. Excercises, stretching, icing, resting, are 100 times better in relieving knee pain then is a bike fitter.

If you have any questions about the two bike fitters I met don't hesitate to ask.

Bike Fit -

Hi, my name is Beth and I am a NY state licensed Physical Therapist and a Serotta Advanced and BikeFit Green certified bike fitter. I also have a doctorate in Sports Medicine and am board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. I use the Retul system to do my bike fits, and fit from my home, in West Point, NY. I specialize in fits that are performed to address issues of discomfort, overuse, and other pain. Cleat positioning is also an area of specialty for me. Please take a peek at my website:
