I'm leading another A19 ride this Sunday. It didn't make it into the ride listings on the new website, although it was approved last Friday. I'd copy the listing, but the new message board can't format paragraphs, so here are the main details. Meet at 7:50 a.m. at the NJ Transit departures board for the 8:11 train to Summit (arrives 9:06). Lunch is at Schooley's Mountain General Store, the oldest operating general store in New Jersey. I think we'll make the 3:49 back to the city (trains run every hour). A few miles of dirt roads. One big climb. If you'd like to do the ride, click the envelope next to my name… wait, never mind. Just e-mail me at msilver(at)iso(dot)com. If you're a human being and not a spambot, you should be able to figure it out.

HELLO WEBMASTER!
Why can't I edit my original message?
I just wanted to add that the NJ Transit departures board is in Penn Station (31st St and 8th Ave).

We're in for a good time
I just mapped out this route for my Garmin and I'm happy to send it to any one who plans to come. Its a sweet ride, even including a stretch in the Great Swamp, with decent hills (we peak over 1000 feet at lunch) and a mellow return. For those who have never ridden with Mordecai, you're in for a treat. He knows the best roads and keeps the stops short, the pace steady and the ambiance mellow.

I scouted 2/3 of this Wednesday.
Total kick-ass. Beautiful and challenging. The climbs will test your endurance as will the not-inconsiderable hardpack your bike handling skills. Wimps need not apply. Enjoy!
