Thanks for the try, but I'm too old to read blue and red on blue.
Nit Picking
I've yet to really dig in on the new site. But, my initial impression is that blue on blue is not very readable.
There is a reason why 99% of all newspapers (and their websites) are black text on a white backaround.
A larger font size would be nice too.
Some other issues:
The rich text editor does not work. I.e. The formatting does not carry over.
Firefox and Chrome do not display this website properly.
Just checking to see how this comment displays.
My nitpicking.
Okay, no need to mention the speed issue. It is obvious and I'm sure it is being looked at.
There should be a way for us to choose our own usernames. I'm really not too crazy about the one that was assigned to me.
On the message board, in Firefox and Chrome, I don't see the labels of the columns unless I select the text. It is white text in a white text box. Without selecting the text I don't know what the numbers mean, who started the thread, and who posted the latest comment.
45x45 avatars are a bit too small don't you think? My monitor is 1920x1080 which is not one of the highest resolutions around these days (my office one is 2560x1600 for example), and the avatar already looks like just a speck on the screen.
As it has been ponted out, the rich text editor is very glitchy in Firefox and Chrome.
I posted this in large yellow text in order to contrast with the blue backgroud rather than merge into it.
And this is the 3rd time I tried to post this. On the previous times, I got a server error message.
EDIT: Rich editor doesn't work. It didn't change the font color and removed all my paragraph marks.
MB headers are white on white for Safari also. If Safari, Chrome and Firefox don't work properly, that seems to cut down browser options for the Mac.
you were provided a username? I wasn't... perhaps this is why when I registered I can no longer see ride details? how did you get the username??
Milkfish. From the front page: "
1. REGISTER - All NYCC members must click on the link to the right "Click here to reset your password" to register with your e-mail address.
Use the e-mail address to which you receive the NYCC weekly e-mail "eWeekly." ("Your NYCC e-mail address").
2. User ID - Your User ID has already been pre-set to your first initial plus last name (e.g. Jane Doe is "jdoe")"
Why does the breadcrumbing from the message board post go back to the home page of the site?? Should it not go back to the message board, then the site home page? OK, I will give up....
