For those who do hill repeats there.

The hill at the police station is fine, a little gravel, a few branches, but rideable.
Also thanks to the guy who helped me out the this morning when I was left a CO2 short- my employer thanks you!

Subject: Henry Hudson Drive

Due to mudslides resulting from this week's storm event, part of the southern portion of Henry Hudson Drive (""River Drive""), from the circle at the entrance to the Ross Dock Picnic Area in Fort Lee north to the entrance to Englewood Boat Basin & Picnic Area in Englewood Cliffs, will remain CLOSED to all traffic while repairs are made. It is anticipated that repairs will take over a week to accomplish.
a.. Both Ross Dock and the Englewood Area should remain accessible during this time, Ross Dock from the southern park entrance at the Edgewater-Fort Lee border, Englewood from the Palisades Avenue entrance in Englewood Cliffs. The road between the two areas will be CLOSED.

Update

"The park service says that parts of the road are impassable:

Additional mudslides have compelled the closure of Henry Hudson Drive (""River Drive"") from the circle at its intersection with Alpine Approach Road in Alpine south to its intersection with Dyckman Hill Road (Palisade Avenue) in Englewood Cliffs.

This roadway is at present impassable and will remain CLOSED to all traffic (including bicycles) while repairs are made. It is anticipated that repairs will take over a week to accomplish.

This notice is in addition to the closure notice sent earlier today (and which is copied, below).

[COPY:] Due to mudslides resulting from this week's storm event, part of the southern portion of Henry Hudson Drive (""River Drive""), from the circle at the entrance to the Ross Dock Picnic Area in Fort Lee north to the entrance to Englewood Boat Basin & Picnic Area in Englewood Cliffs, will remain CLOSED to all traffic while repairs are made. It is anticipated that repairs will take over a week to accomplish.

Note that both closed sections of the Drive are impassable at this time.

Ross Dock, the Englewood Boat Basin & Picnic Area, and the Alpine Boat Basin & Picnic Area should all remain accessible during this time, Ross Dock from the southern park entrance at the Edgewater-Fort Lee border, Englewood from the Palisades Avenue entrance in Englewood Cliffs, Alpine from Alpine Approach Road (PIP Exit 2). "I had an abbreviate ride this past Saturday, coming in from Bklyn and just doing RR - before the current slide.

The road was OK, but there were twigs, branches and 2-3-4"" rocks strewn about. There were also snow-ice glacier like areas coming out of the Palisades. I though, then, if they were the route a slide would follow. This thaw time of year, when the ice recedes, is slide time.

Be careful!"
