Can someone give me specific directions how to get to the passable walkway? Coming from the south.

I assume you mean from the Manhattan side
"Take Ft Wash Av northbound just past the bridge, do not enter the bridge where cars are going! Take the first left after the bridge onto a road which runs along it. You will see an opening on your left after the first cross street maybe a ttl of 500 or 600 feet from Ft Wash--like a metal gate with stairs--I think it's marked.
If you're referring to the NJ side....It's just north of the main bridge off Hudson Terrace and is clearly signed ""North Path"""
