A cool thing about tandems is that you are essentially always drafting. So, a tandem has the pedaling power of two riders and the wind resistance of one. Therefore, you go fast. The formula is basically C+C=A where C is a C rider and A is an A rider.

Hey Jim,
If you aren't able to sell it, I suggest donating it to the Achilles track club. They have a tandem program that pairs sighted captains with visually impaired stokers so they can enjoy cycling as well. They even do some triathlons with the visually impaired stokers. Someone recently donated a nice Cannondale.

Or, keep it, and do some riding with Achilles as a volunteer captain.
