I went to Tiorati friday to get a fishing key for Island Pond. The Lake Welch exit on the PIP was still closed. Normally they reopen the closed roads on April 1, if there is no snow. They did repave Perkins in the fall of 2005 so hopefully it is still in good shape.

I drove by Perkins on Tuesday. The Drive was CLOSED with full snow cover as the road is not maintained or plowed.

With the warm temps and spring rain, Perkins should be open by April as per post above.
