If it makes you feel any better, I actually did buy them but took them off my mountain bike a couple of weeks ago - so they won't be doing me much good today.

I was a bit overzealous this morning going over the Brooklyn Bridge and the bike went out from under me and skidded 36'. I think that's a record.
I picked it up, adjusted the seat and continued my trip. 5 minutes later and I arrived at work and noticed my trip computer was no longer attached, so I turned around thinking I lost it someone on the road. Sure it enough it was on the ground where I fell.
