I'm riding south with my son to an appointment on 70th and West End. I don't ride the path very often. Where is the closest/safest place to come up around 70th?

72nd. Just before the greenway turns left under the highway. It's a steep climb up to Riverside Park. You go past a dog run and exit at 72nd. and Riverside.

More gradual climb
you can also go a few blocks south past the basketball courts on your left and go throught the gates at the Thump towers. The climb there is easier and you come out on 69th and RS Blvd. There 's a lot less traffic and you're already south of the 72 and WEA intersection( which can get tricky at times)
