Should be noted that the organizers of tonight's roller races have decided to donate their proceeds toward the care of Fernando Cuevas, a man who's a NYC cycling institution -- mentor, sponsor of a junior racing team, custom frame builder. He's been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and is currently on dialysis.
Wow, what a great time. It was fun to watch the racers compete, and then who showed up but Floyd Landis! Whatever you want to believe about did-he-or-didn't-he, it was very cool to have the Tour de France winner hanging out with us at this little dive bar.
