with temps anticipated in the 30's, it'll be down-right balmy! Yee-Haa!

Come on out for the grand finale. I'm promise it'll be an interesting ride with something for everyone. Let's do coffee afterwards in nyc.

this time we'll go to the orchards (NOT TO STOP), then turn around come back down south mtn road, and then climb little tor. then the usual pee stop at toga. then the hills by nyack college to 9W home.

Does Toga have a branch office?

Is there now a Toga bike shop in Rockland County that I've somehow missed hearing about? Or is there simply a shop selling Togas?

what a way to end the series!

thanks to mordecai for being the only one showing up yesterday and for encouraging us to ride up perkins drive in an inch or two of snow to get to the top.

it's nice to ride with people crazier than me!

Final Hogwich ride

I arrived at the NJ side of the bridge at 8:28, expecting to see at least ten other cyclists getting ready to leave. Instead, I was very surprised to find Todd there all alone. Did no one show up because the roads were wet, or because Todd promised an extra climb (South Mountain Road)?

A kind person riding south on 9W doubled back to warn us about black ice on River Road, so I was pretty sure that 9W would be trecherous farther north. But as we passed Nyack, the temperature began to warm and the ice on the shoulder was melting.

Once we got halfway up Perkins the road was covered with snow, at first just a dusting, then about an inch. The descent wasn't a problem if taken slowly, since the road was closed to motor traffic.

Thanks for another great Hogwich series, Todd. I need the motivation they give me to get out of the apartment early on cold winter mornings.
