It looks as if some of our luck so far with winter weather has ended, at least for this week. Judging from current forecasts, it looks to be as cold on Thursday morning as on Wednesday. Rather than leaving things up in the (cold) air, we're calling the ride off for this week -- both Wed. (Jan. 17) and Thurs (Jan. 18). We're not up for a long ride in the sort of temperatures projected for either day.
Let's hope for some better luck next week!

Whats the cutoff temp for these rides?
Generally, temps below freezing will cancel, but always check the message board. High winds might move that cutoff up a bit, or little wind, lots of sun, and dry roads might move it down.
I see the forecast is for 33 rising to maybe 36 by mid-day. I'll be leaving around 11 and going at usual Wed A20ish pace, route towards Piermont/Nyack area.
i'd love to join you at the GWB if you could leave a bit later - i'll be on the Jersey side at around 12:15.
high today is supposed to be around 40, but very late in the afternoon (around 4-5pm) - it looks like it'll the best day in a long time.
Matt, Yes, later is looking much better considering the forecast. Could you do a little bit later, say 1pm at Jersey side of GWB?
