great biking

"There is great biking in that area. Several of the NJ brevets go thru those counties. Check out www.njbikemap.com to build your own routes, or try the ""Hills of Hunterdon County"" in the ride library.

I've used njbikemap.com to put a couple of routes together thru Somerset, Hunterdon, and Buck's Counties.

Warning: Hills Ahead

"""The Hills of Hunterdon County"" route is based upon a local ride also known as the ""Lebanon 52."" It is a beautiful route but it climbs about 6000 feet in 52 miles. Just thought you might want to know that before you started riding. During the week (not Sat. or Sun.) there is NJ Transit train service from Penn Station NY to Lebanon, which is the starting point of the ride. Bikes are OK during non-peak periods."

Hogwiches in western NJ?

You're looking in the wrong place. Try the Runcible Spoon in Nyack.
