Surely these guys can't be that hard to apprehend--all the muggings were within the park and all targeted bicyclists.

Where did you hear they targeted bicyclists? I heard the attackers RODE bicycles. I did not hear of any victim being a cyclist.

First sentence of the article says the victims were on bicycles.
It seems odd to me to target bicyclists as compared to pedestrians/joggers. There must have been some kind of ambush to get them off the bikes. I wish these reports included those kinds of details.

"That's what I get for speed reading.
The TV news and other newspaper reports only mentioned the perps being on bikes.
So it looks like it's bike theft, not just mugging. They say the last guy wasn't robbed. But they don't mention if the other bikes were taken or what happened to his bike– maybe they don't consider bike theft as ""real theft"", like a wallet."
