that ride went as well as one could expect with 22 riders at the start. we split the group in nyack for the return and about 10 of us did the non-stop 2:40 ride back to the bridge.

i had a great time and want to thank everyone for being so disciplined regarding the pace. i know most of you guys probably wanted to go faster, so thank you for not busting the pace. it was amazing that such a diverse group of riders were able to stay together.

next week i plan to throw in some more hills, but i'd still like to keep the group together. if anybody had trouble keeping up yesterday on the hills, you may want to think about whether this is the right ride for you these coming weeks. it probably won't get any easier than yesterday.

when we start to go longer (s.mountain, little tor, etc.), i will do a 5 min. pee break somewhere. i promise.

see you all next week.

Thank you, Todd, for the fantastic kickoff to your Hogwich series. It was the first NYCC ride I was able to finish in time to watch the Jets and the Giants. Looking forward to more.

Enjoyable, even when I made a wrong turn, my BADDD

"Great ride. You really did keep the group together and the pace was mild I assume for the front half. Unfourtunately, I lost the group after Toga when I turned left and the ""Nowich"" group went straight. I was in the middle of the hill climb so I guessed I screwed up when I turned left since no one was behind me and tried to catch up with everyone by taking Old Moutain to Tweed by I didn't.

I later found out that there was a group behind me that did go to the spoon.
Oh well, my baad.

Thanks Rob Marcus
Hope to see ya next week.

"Mmmm... Hogwiches... Mmmm... Wraps...

No wonder I had trouble getting up those hills.

I may just ignore your ""if anybody had trouble keeping up yesterday on the hills, you may want to think about whether this is the right ride for you these coming weeks"" advice and see you out there anyway. I'll just bungee myself to Mordechai."
