I'm travelling on business, so can't make the mtn bike ride this Saturday. Co-leader Herb Dershowitz will meet riders at the Cortlandt Station at 9:50am. Please email Herb at: [email protected] if you plan to be on the train to join the ride.
Enjoy!

Mountain biking

I was hoping to join this ride, but unfortunately, will not be able to.

Did some mountain biking this week outside Las Vegas with a full suspension in the desert brush and had a blast! Single track - fast flats to hillier moderately technical stuff. I now have the bug.

Where can one do mountain biking in the area? How often do you guys go?

At the moment have only a front suspension bike, but would consider upgrading if the riding in the area was good and accessible. I have a car.

other rides

"Ron(s) -
Sorry I can't make this ride, too.

I did some desert mtn biking 2 weeks ago at South Mtn Park outside Phoenix - it, too, was a blast riding past saguaro.

Plenty of good riding around here, too. We ususally try for train-accessible parks like Blue Mtn & Graham Hills in Westchester; Bethpage and Stillwell Woods on Long Island, and Huber/Hartshorne in NJ.

We did a fantastic/spectacular ride last Saturday in further upstate in the Shawangunks (aka ""Gunks"" ). We're trying to do a couple of rides a month.
I'll keep you in our email ""listserv"".

Cool

Great - Thanks!

I am definitely interested in hooking up for some rides.

I would call myself a low-intermediate rider. I have a bike with only a front suspension. Are these rides better suited for a full suspension bike? Any place you know of to rent one?
