This sounds an awesome ride and I hope weather won't spoil it. I guess we will meet at Penn New York, not Penn Newark?
Thanks.

Penn Station New York

We take the 08:14 train to New Brunswick. This is the NorthEast Corridor line. Arrive early to purchase your ticket prior to boarding and if you want to pick up some food.

The ride is advertised as A23/21. Is 21 the pace on the rollers, the average pace or something else (like 23 the pace before lunch and 21 after? :)

"Depends upon group size and conditions. We do it in 2 non-stop segments. Tomorrow we are using the shortest version of this route -- 76 miles, 42 there 34 back. The second half is ""harder"" (i.e more rolling and tends to have a headwind).

I looked at my records and have seen average speeds (counting any stop (i.e. traffic light) of less than 5 minutes) of 19.8 MPH high to 17.9 MHP low, the low being on a day with pouring rain on the second half. There does not seem to be any split speed difference."

I did not get a chance to say thanks to all for the ride. I had to get back to the city and jumped on the train that arrived just minutes after we arrived on the station. See you again soon.
