The weather forecast for Thursday morning is for showers. If it's not raining, I hope to start at 9:30 am from Engineer's Gate at 90th street for a Piermont ride. Anyone (especially if you know the route as I don't) most welcome.

Michael, are you still planning to ride to Piermont? AccuWeather has been saying sunny and sixties tomorrow, with overnight lows near 50. I'm game for a Piermont run.
Paul:
Great news that you would like to join me. Don and Amy from the Tuesday B-18 Piermont outing said that they may ride as well. Weather permitting, the more the merrier!
Weather.com indicate showers tomorrow morning. Let's hope that as usual they're wrong.

"..weatherbug shows clouds but no rain. i hope we ride. i want to be fresh for the weekend.
btw, here's tuesday's ride...i goofed and stopped the timer at one point (notice the straight line - threw end of ride stats off but what the heck)...
(works better in firefox than safari on mac)

Paul and I headed up to Piermont this morning. A bit of a headwind on the way up, but a good workout. Weather turned out to be quite nice.
See you guys/gals next time.
Joe:
Amy, Don and I left 90th street at 9:30 pm for Piermont this morning. Sorry we missed you. It was a great day to ride.
Don and I are considering doing a Piermont ride at 9:30 am on Saturday. Any interest?
-- Michael
I'm in if there is no rain. It might be chilly also....
"...we picked up speed on the way back. slight variation on our usual ride. we took the bob moulder route...501 all the way out, 501 to church on the way back. here's the route (this time i didn't touch the buttons on the edge305...garmin may give us a botton lock on the next firmware update):
501 all the way up, 501 to church hill on the way back
(the usual...works best with firefox)
as usual, i hopped on the subway once we got back to manhattan. i hate flats and gotta love those unlimited-ride subway passes (especially since i live out in rego park). :)

"Don,
If I keep looking at your Garmin data, I'm going to want to sell my Polar and buy an Edge. Pretty neat stuff.
""I hate flats"" - that's hilarious!
Michael, I think we just missed you. I showed up 3-4 minutes late, but Paul was already there - he was waiting on the northeast corner of Engineer's Gate, so just across the roadway (but still inside the park) from where we usually meet. We waited (unnecessarily as it turns out) another 5-6 minutes and left. I suspect we just missed each other at Piermont as well, assuming you stopped there. All in all, it worked out well though, since if Paul had left with you guys, I just would have done laps in CP.
Next time, maybe we should trade cellphone #s before the ride?
Instead of Piermont on Saturday (or in addition to, if you've got the legs for it), any interest in Sunday's listed ride out to Long Island?
-joe"
Joe:
Do you mean the Monday 9 am B-18 65 mile ride that Margaret will be leading? I've already corresponded with Margaret (I can forward you the email with the details if you like) about where specifically to meet.
Don said that he may participate as well.

I, too, hope to catch you all on a future ride. Maybe it was serendipity that two of us missed you, that gave us someone to ride with.
Paul

"No, I meant the Sunday ride (it's in the ride listings):
B18/19 55 miles 09:00 AM
Variations on a theme in B-flat- 1st movement
Leader: George Arcarola, [email protected],
From: Statue of Civic Virtue, Queens Blvd & Union Tpk, Queens
"
Michael,
Nevermind - I'm now leaning toward the Monday ride instead of the Sunday ride. If you have directions from 71st/Continental train station to the meet-up point, pls can you send.
Thanks,
Joe
..this time it'll be YOU GUYS who'll be taking the train home after a ride. :)
don (who's 5 minutes from start/end place)
Nah, my sister lives near the start/end location - I'm going to head to her place afterwards and eat like a horse!
