The Port Authority website said the south side walkway / bike path would open after September 11; however, another section of the website that it would be closed through September 2006.
I haven't had a chance to ride up to the Bridge this week. Can anyone clear up the ambiguity?

Just commuted via the GWB this evening. South sidewalk on NJ side is all broken up, so doesn't look like opening anytime soon, even though the Port Authority site says September 11.

Progress Report
I spoke with a worker yesterday (9/13) who said they hoped to have it done in 2 weeks, so Oct. 1 is a best case scenario.
