I'm thinking of getting a fender for my road bike. I assume that it's only necessary to get one for the back wheel. Does anyone have any recommendations?

A back fender won't keep your feet dry.

Front keeps your feet dry and rear keeps your back dry. Rear also keeps water off the face of anyone pacing you.

SKS Blades are small, light, removable fenders. I picked up a set at Habitat. They are about $55, but they are well designed and stay on. They also remove and install in under a minute.

"Headland ""Backscratcher"" clip on fender"

keeps your back and butt dry and clips on in seconds.
