I'm thinking about picking up a folding Strida. Mainly for my very easy commute from 110 st to 55th. They look like fun and seem so simple.
Anyone actually try to ride one for more than a few loops of the shop floor?
Thx
any strida users?

a big pass on the Strida
I have not ridden a Strida, but when shopping for a compact folder, I was turned off by the comments I have read online while doing my research. They're pricey for what they have to offer, do not fold particularly compact, the actual ride
is shall we say a bit dicey and the durability is suspect (or at least it had been in the past).
For that price-point, consider getting a Brompton or a Dahon Presto Lite. Other alternatives, for less cash are the Dahon Piccolo and Dahon Boardwalk S1 model bike. I've owned and commuted on both a Brompton and Dahon and have been happy with both.
