UAR

Maybe. Let's see what other interest is out there. what time/place would you want to meet?

(The UAR is on hiatus for the summer, but we did do a ride last week, informally)

Lets see if there is any interest. I'll go anywhere, I live near Bryant Park.

UAR?

I emailed another guy who often does these. He may join. I will know around 4pm whether I can do this or not.

"I believe I'm the ""another guy"" Carl mentioned. If we can assemble a critical mass (3?), I could head out early and join.

Chris"

UAR defined

"Fair question: It stands for ""Urban Assault Ride"" We ride fat-tire type bikes on a mystery tour of the city for a few hours. Last week, we rode out to Liberty State Park, Bayonne, and Staten Island. We go on mtn bikes, since we never know what kind of road conditions we'll find (cobbles, etc.). Your more than welcome to join us."

From a prior NYCC bulletin:

Urban Adventure

From: Central Park Boathouse
Meet 7:00 PM every Wednesday for an ever-changing exploration of New York City and its environs. Depending upon the time of the year, expect a 2-3 hour nonstop ride. Required will be some sort of fat-tire bike, good handling skills and a helmet, as the route may include cobblestone, rough roads and occasional off-road -- where we can find it. Lights are also required. While not a fast paced ride, those participating should be able to maintain a 18 MPH flat speed riding a fat-tire bicycle. This is a 4-season ride and if conditions are questionable, check the message board. Post ride dinner is always an option.

Do you guys mind swinging down by Bryant Park around 6:45, I don't think I can make it to the BH by 6:30.

I spoke with Carl. 7:00 is better for both of us. Let's meet at Bryant Park, on the 6th avenue side. I might be a couple of minutes late.
