Are the usual suspects ( Christie, Jody etc..) still meeting at Tavern at 6am?
Would love to jump back in if there's still the group.

Still going on Tues and Thurs at 6:00 AM from the Tavern. All are welcome! And just like back in April, it's a battle for me to hold on to the group for the whole 3 laps. Sometimes I'm able to, more often I'm not. It's that damn bike, I've got to get if fixed.
I've just ordered lights. Also put new batteries in my flashers. It's time for sunrise in Central Park. Changing leaves is next up.
Come on out Claudio. It's always a treat to ride with you. I know if the day ever comes when I can ride with Claudio for 3 laps of Central Park, on that great day, I will be real fast.

Least you forget Christy, I learned everything from you 9 years ago in the Sig, and by the looks of the new crop of Sig graduates that have been doing this ride, your guidance is Golden as usual!

new headlight
I just got one of these:

Extremely lightweight, doesn't bother neck injuries. Very useful for waking up semi-conscious pedestrians and oxygen-deprived runners because you can aim it right at them. Not quite as bright as a halogen because of the blue tint to the light, but more than bright enough for the purpose. I ordered it without the rechargeables so as to overvolt it with Lithium AA batteries (and have one less annoying battery charger), saved $25 that way.
