"I see that one A ride leaves from the Boat House at 8:00 next Sunday 8/27. Be aware, the inaugural NYC Half-Marathon will have gone off on the park drive at 7:00. The first seven miles will be in the park; it starts at E 80th St and proceeds clockwise for 1+ loops to the 7th Ave exit.
As the field is ""limited"" to 10,000 runners, it's a good bet that the entire roadway will be used. [Typical NYRR weekend race has 3,000 participants.] It will take a good hour and a half for slower runners to clear the park. Easy access to/from the Boat House, as well as cycling in the usual direction, might be difficult until after 8:00.
The remainder of the race course might also pose some inconvenience to cyclists heading north on the west side of Manhattan: the course proceeds on 7th Ave to 42nd St to West St to the finish line near Battery Park."

27 Aug A19-20 ride
I don't know if this ride is still on. A lot probably depends on the weather. And then there is the added mess of the NYC Half Marathon. The route for this can be found at
http://www.nyrr.org/nychalf/course.php.
Maybe it would be best to start this ride at the Elenanor Roosevelt statue on 72nd and Riverside Drive?
I hope the leaders are reading the message board. 8-)
