Not me, but maybe my bike

Jim-You taught me well during the A19 SIG last year, but you neglected to teach my (defective custom-made) bike. My latest West Point crash update is that I had surgery on my thumb last week due to my 7-2-06 bike crash totally tearing a ligament, among other injuries. After 5 more weeks of a cast and then 3 in a splint, maybe I will be able to get back on a bike.

It's called: Kunstradfahren

"from: http://www.milkandcookies.com/article/3708/

For all you guys wondering what this is all about... it's called trick cycling or Kunstradfahren in Germany., http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunstradfahren, ""Deutschland ist führend in dieser Sportart. Die Hochburgen in Deutschland befinden sich in Württemberg, Rhein-Main-Gebiet und Bayern."", Translation: Germany is the leading country in this sport. The strongholds in Germany are Württemberg, Rhein-Main-Area and Bavaria.""

I'm a bit surprised that this so many of you have never seen this kind of sport. Well, actually it's most famous in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, France and Belgium and nowadays also asian countries like Japan, Taiwan, Korea and China...

It gets no media exposure in Germany at all, still I knew it exists."

Its not new in the US at all. I used to do all of those tricks on a 16inch bmx redline back in junior high. I have seen them done on a road bike before but very rarely. Remember Kevin Bacon doing them on the big screen long ago??

Bacon

Didn't I see Kevin Bacon and gang do this in 'Quicksilver' in 1986. :)

It is still fun to watch.
