"same great food!
Continue past Nyack Runcible on Broadway into Nyack Beach St Park. At end of riverside trail, go up past stone park ranger house and continue up below stone cliffs to firehouse, then make right downhill (careful there are now loose pebbles). Go thru Rockland Lake St Park to 9W & turn right on 9W (You can also go up Main St in Nyack up to 9W and turn tight but it ain't as pretty.) Turn right on Short Clove. at Rte Bike #9 & Ossining ferry signs(bikes are allowed on the ferry for $1, but it runs mainly during weekday rush hours). Carefully cross (perpindicular!) RR tracks and go down past quarry.
Go into new Harbors condo complex--the coffee/sandwich shoppe is just to the left in a large bldg near the pool.
BTW the ""morning bun"" (to die for) is $2.10 & going up soon and I think they have increased the size of it to make it almost impossible for a cyclist with a normal size belly to devour at one sitting (share it with a fellow cyclist)
A runcible spoon is a spoon-shaped eating utensil with 3 broad forklike prongs made famous in Edward Lear's 1871 epic ""The Owl and the Pussy-Cat""
If you still want more scenic flat miles, continue north thru Haverstraw downtown, following bike 9 signs and river to Haverstraw & Stony Point's marina districts"
New Runcible branch is now open in Haverstraw
">>A runcible spoon is a spoon-shaped eating utensil with 3 broad forklike prongs<<
Is that the same utensil that campers (and Bart Simpson) refer to as a ""spork""?"
The spork is a real word, used for eating cole slaw
I was thinking of adding some mileage to the hogwich rides this winter. Awsome.
todd
You're doing the hogwich rides again this winter. Awesome.

"i think there were some good posts about hogwiches in the past. they're basically egg sandwiches named after various types of harley's. the runcible spoon owner, frank, is one of those biker types. and i don't mean cyclist.
i love the concept, but haven't actually ordered a hogwich in 2 years. my favorite is the sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant (sp?). i forgot what it's called...maybe ""the slider"" perhaps?"
I thought it was a Jeff Vogel.
The skim milk was off this Sunday (not just the one on the counter, but then also the one they hauled out of the fridge). Not to mention they never have any raisin bagels, and if you reserve one it's not always there for you.
Don't tell anyone about the new place, maybe they won't keep selling out!
chk'd out the runcible in haverstraw. its built into a condo complex (as mentioned) so has that sort of charm. versus the one in dwntwn nyac, its quiet, you can get a seat inside or outside with ease, and no bathroom lines— d'oh thats because there is no bathroom. there is a pool though...
Yikes. What will we cyclists do?
:-)
1. Fast food city on 9W--near Samsondale Shopping Ctr
2. New County park in marina district - must walk bike on paths but it has a WC
