Hey all. So I just got a new pair of dura ace shift levers, and I was installing the cables and noticed this odd flat cable that ran over the area where the shift cable houses, then dove down into the where the brake cable sits.

Does anyone know what this is for and if it's important? I accidentally pulled on it, and pulled some of it out, and can't seem to get it back in.
