There was a thread a while back about shipping bikes, but I can't find it again. It seems to me that soemone had written that FedEx ground is the most reliable, cheapest way but I am not sure.

Any suggestions?

NYCC Resources

If you plan to bring the bike with you, under this website try: NYCC Resources -> 'Travel' link -> 'Baggage Regulations for Bikes' link

Yes, FedEx Ground is the cheapest and safest method I've found for shipping a bike domestically. Make sure you drop it at a FedEx location, not at a reseller.

"I used DHL to ship my bike from San Francisco. They even picked it up at my place. My local bike shop in SF even gave me two different sized boxes, so i could ""double box"" the bike."
