Hank Schiffman has earned the coveted top notch status at Mt. Washington by placing 13th overall and first in his age class at the Newton's Revenge race Saturday. His time of under an hour and 15 minutes is far below the 1:20 needed for top notch. Way to go, Hank. Race results are posted at www.newtonsrevenge.com. Tyler Hamilton registered, but did not show up.

That's impressive as hell! I've hiked Mt. Washington annually and the hiking is brutal enough. Saw road bikers toughing it up the long access rd (past Pinkham Notch) last weekend so maybe they were training.
Damn - Hank smoked a bunch of 16 year olds too.
