"my brother-in-law was in a serious bike accident on Wed morning around 6 - 7 am. We are trying to piece together what happened as he is incapacitated and is in the ICU. Perhaps someone saw something. Here are the details, as far as I know.

He is about 6'3"", dark hair, 52 yrs old. He bikes the Central Park loop around 5am several times. He rides a single track (I think that's what they are called) - one gear - bike. Either black or bright green, depending on the day. He also has a yellow rain slicker/pull over. His route is 100th St on the West side to Central Park and then he does the loop 3 times and heads back to the West Side. He sustained face and head injuries. Any chance someone saw something? Do you have any suggestions on how to piece this together? Please email me at [email protected] if you have any info. at all.
Thanks,
Tracy"

we don't know. we just know his usual route. but we think it may have been on his way home because he made it home before he became unconscious. but perhaps it was towards the end of his ride in the park. any suggestions?

flyers in neighborhood

You might also post a few flyers on streetlights in the neighborhood. A dog-walker or someone heading to work might have seen something.

I think I saw a comment on BikeForums.net road bike forum from someone that saw the accident, or maybe the aftermath.
