Four days (three nights) of wonderful biking await us over the traditional NYCC July 4th weekend at West Point.
Saturday: Meet at CPW/72nd St, leave our bags and pick a ride (A,B or C) to West Point. Lunch/swim/tour the campus as you prefer. Dinner at the Thayer Hotel.
Sunday: Breakfast at Thayer Hotel. Pick a beautiful ride for the day and return for a picnic BBQ on campus. (We hope it'll be at or near the concert and fireworks).
Monday: Another Thayer breakfast. Another beautiful day's riding. Dinner and dancing on board the River Rose as we cruise the Hudson River.
Tuesday: Breakfast followed by rides back to Manhattan, where we pick up our bags on W 70th St.
Included: 3 nights accommodation, 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners, boat cruise, bagggage shuttle to/from Manhattan.
Event always sells out. Cost is $375 per person sharing double room.

What time do the rides meet at Central Park on Saturday?
Weekend begins at 8 AM Saturday July 1st at the West 72nd St./CPW entrance to Central Park.
Remember to bring your ID/Driver's Licence - you'll need it to gain access to West Point campus where Thayer Hotel is located.
Detailed email will go out to all registrants within the next few days.
"...the active.com registration didn't state the requirement for a valid id card so i'm out $750. my id and/or passport were lost or stolen in puerto rico in late february when i went there to handle matters after my father died. i didn't realise i was missing these things until i found out a few days ago that an id card is needed to get to west point and a frantic search came up dry.
given my schedule, it was impossible to get a replacement id card in time with so little notice. i'm very upset that the nycc didn't make this requirement clear on it's active.com registration:

This is the FINAL CALL for any stragglers out there. You have until 12.00 AM (midnight Monday June 26th) to register for the remaining few spots.
Also, due to having reserved a couple of rooms surplus to current requirements, there is a strong possibility of a small number of single rooms available for anyone who has (or hasn't) already registered.
Email me Monday if you're interested - I'll be able to confirm Tuesday after closing regular registration. Of course, there would be a single supplement $226 payable - in addition to regular registration fee.
Finally, detailed info packets will go out by email tomorrow Monday. If you or anyone you know have registered for West Point and do not receive yours, please let me know. It will be sent from below email address so please ensure your spam filters are set accordingly.
