The bridge MIGHT be crowded tomorrow, so be prepared for possible delays:

Does anyone know the details here

I was on the event website and read in a document that the bridge will be closed to bicycles after 7:45AM, but I wasn't sure if that includes the sides of the bridge or if it just refers to the bicycle portion of the event.

I planned to go over the bridge at 8:15am - 35 miles into a 115 mile ride on Sunday.

pedestrian path should be open

From the participant packet for the GWB Challenge:

WALKERS/RUNNERS: PLEASE STAY TO THE RIGHT AS YOU CROSS THE GWB. YOU WILL BE SHARING THE WALKWAY WITH GENERAL CYCLISTS AND PEDESTRIANS.

The event starts at 7:40am.

GWB crossing today

After an email exchange with the event organizers my understanding is that the pedestrian path will not be closed to non-participants.
Participating cyclists actually get to traverse the upper roadway of the bridge, while walkers & runners will use the pathway... which by 9:45-10 should be mostly cleared.
