Hello-

My name is Tom Frabizzio and I am an Audience Coordinator for ESPN2’s sports talk show Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith.

The reason I am contacting you is that we have just been notified that on Monday, June 26th at 7:30pm, Quite Frankly will be dedicating the show to Cycling Legend and seven-time Tour de France winner, Lance Armstrong!

We would like to extend to you and other Cycling fans FREE tickets to attend the show. We realize that this would be a great opportunity for members of your organization to get together and meet up for an exciting sports show. The tickets are open to all who are interested, whether it be family members, friends, or co-workers.

Our studio is located in the heart of New York City, across the street from Madison Square Garden. Again the show date is Monday, June 26th, at 7:30pm with a 6:00pm check-in.

If you or any of your members are interested in attending the show, please call me at 646-708-7151 or email [email protected]. Please provide your first and last name, telephone number with area code and spell your email address. Someone from Audience Services will contact you if your reservation has been accepted.

In addition, please feel free to post this information on your website for all Lance Armstrong or Cycling fans located in the New York or tri-state area.

Thank you.

I got mines!

I just got a callback for the ESPN show w/ Lance Armstrong. Wow, I'm pretty excited, and it appears as if this guy is legit. He's giving away free tickets to fill up the studio audience. Could be awesome, no?

If I'm extra lucky, I'll get to sit near Dave.

Quite Frankly's Interview with Lance Armstrong

Thank you all for your quick and excited repsonse to our show with Lance Armstrong.

We are sorry to say that because of such a high volume of responses, we will no longer be able to accommodate any more requests.

Any requests that were made before 1:00 PM today, Tuesday, June 13, will be filled.

Thank you again for your fantastic response and we will definitely keep the NYCC in our thoughts for any other cycling related shows that we may have in the future.

Take care.

courtesy returned 4 xs, phone + email

You did confirm that you had planned to attend (RSVP), as requested and did furnish a telephone number, didn't you?

I received both an email and a voice mail for both instances: confirming that I plan to attend AND subsequently to confirm I received the cancellation message.

You know, you probably wouldn't have gotten into the event anyway! When I asked about timing, (specifically standing around for over an hour or so in line) the co-ordinator informed me that even if I showed up at 5 for the line I would only have about a 10% chance of getting in since they routinely overbook the events.

He commented since the tickets are free, many people don't show up, so they over book by some ridiculous amount to ensure a full house.

Don't think I want to invest over 2 hours waiting in a line for a 10% chance to see Lance.

Why wait in line? Lance was on River Road yesterday morning.
