There is a NYRRC Womens 10K race in the morning. Does this mean the park is closed to Cyclists?
Thanks

From NYRR's Web site....

"8:45 a.m. Opening Ceremonies at start line (West Drive & 61st St)
9:00 a.m. Official start of Circle of Friends New York Mini 10K
(women 12 years and older)
Last year this race had 3598 runners.
NYRR does keep outside lanes open for other park users. However, when the middle of the pack go by the Boathouse access to it might be difficult. My guess it that will happen between 9:45 and 10:15.

Generally the park remains open for other recreation use during these times but it gets crowded, so it definitely is not the best time to ride in the park.
I admire the correctness of these responses.
Officially the park needs to be open to all uses, including cycling, during this event.
And it damm well should.
In the real world, however, there is simply no way you'll be able to ride your bike there at the same time than the 10K. Period.
Any idea when the race might end?
Hey Ludovic,
Worry about finishing hte Dauphine, not Central PArk!

Definitely the stage of the week, but not quite a vintage day’s racing in the Dauphiné – so ""bring back Lance Armstrong"" someone even suggested
