Getting a pair of Ksyrium Elite wheels as a replacement set from my LBS. roadbikereview.com had some very mixed feedback reviews, mostly regarding the wheels going out of true and popping spokes. Most of these complaints cam from riders 170 lbs and up. I am 145 lbs so this may be less of an issue for me, though we all know what our local roads are like.

Any users out there have any thoughts on this?

And I still think, 4 days later, that you can get better handbuilts for the same money.

I concur with brother Bovine that a custom-built with *serviceable* components will cost you far less and render far better life than the we-gotta-send-em-back-to-the-factory Ksyriums.

Although I can build (thank you Richard Rosenthal) I prefer to recommend a experienced, DT certified builder on Long Island who can, IMO, create something very neat for well within your Kysrium budget.

Meantime, for reference, here's a link to Colorado Cyclist who lists an Ultegra hub, Mavic Open Pro rim, DT spoke setup for $227 + S/H.

Nothing at all wrong with that set up.

Neile,

Is that Eric G.? Everything I've heard about him is the bomb as well. I think I'm going to call him and have him build me a set of Chorus 28h/32h with Aerohead & Aerohead OCR rims laced with Sapim CX-Ray and brass nips.

That would be moooocho bellisima!

"""Is that Eric G.?"" Nope. The guy I know is Frank Corda."
