i was curious to find nobody at the boathouse for the 9:00 am ride to pearl river this morning. a ride which i swore was listed for today in the printed bulletin. however, i did find a great riding partner there who was looking to do a ride akin to what i was looking to do. turns out i had a nice ride, but was still baffled about nobody showing up for the listed ride.

when i got home, i later checked the bulletin again. still saw the ride listed for saturday. then i noticed that the ride is listed on this website for sunday morning. okay, i thought. honest enough mistake, but still i thought it was interesting that nobody showed up for the ride. is my household the only one who goes by the print version of the bulletin? i guess i didn't win best retro-grouch a few years ago for nothing.

Whoops . . .

"Todd,

Sorry you fell afoul of a mistake in the print bulletin. The May print bulletin omitted the date ""Sunday, May 21, 2006"" above the ""A Farewell to Arm Warmers - Pearl River"" ride. Thus it appeared that three rides slated for Sunday would occur on Saturday. We corrected this in the online PDF bulletin.

FYI, the Gold Standard for ride listings is the online Ride Listings available at:
http://www.nycc.org/ridesub/view/ridelisting.aspx (NYCC Membership username and password required)."

nice...

nice! has any progress been made in getting this data piped into the bulletin (shades of copydesk or incopy)?
