I noticed that NYCC is conspicuously absent from the Bike Month lineup -- a citywide listing of events. NYCC is a New York City bicycle club, yes?
I think it would be really wonderful if there was a ride organized by NYCC, as an introductory ride for newbies, in celebration of Bike Month, explaining the policy, rules, etc., of the road, from NYCC's point of view, as well as have a nice leisurely ride. New riders can learn about pace and SIG as well.
Really good PR opportunity for the leadership of the club to think about, as any ride can be easily posted through bikemonthnyc.org, and it's still early in the month.

Great Idea Josh!
I nominate you to organize the ride, recruit the leaders, write up the listing, map the route, etc., etc.

No Sarcasm
If you think NYCC should have a ride in Bike Month don't wait for someone else to organize it, step up and do it yourself!

I see your point
Okay, apologies to all. But I'm fairly new to the club and wouldnt be the best candidate for an informational ride promoting NYCC during Bike Month. I thought that if there is anything like an executive committee at NYCC of long-time members this might go through as a worthy project, maybe next year better organized.
