Anyone know of any bike shops in NYC that fits the Lemond Wedges for cleats etc? I need to get a new set.

Thanks

A Lemond Wedge is a plastic shim that is inserted between the cleat and the shoe. It is angled at something like half a degree from outside edge to inner edge.

When riding many of us are pigeon footed etc, our feet do not hit the ground perfectly level. When we are clipped in to pedals we are forcing our feet to this level position and pushing all of our power through our feet at this unnatural position. The wedge or wedges 'take up the difference', meaning that the leg and foot resume the natural angled push down and the wedge becomes a platform for the missing few degrees.

Understandble?

I had a bike fit and wedge session in the UK and after shortening my position hugely they then used a laser to judge how much my legs were angling out from the pedal and inserted wedges. All knee twinges stopped and my kness no longer wobbled at the top of the stroke. GENIUS!!!

I am hooked. Unfortunately I am now on a new frame and have replaced cleats many times. Pretty sure wedges are worn and no longer positioned correctly.

Actually here it all is:

Toga

Toga usually has them, depending on cleat type. You might have to order them. Also, ANewGen on 9th Ave. at around 54th sometimes has had them.
