With S & S couplings (see http://www.sandsmachine.com/) your bike will fit in a small case.(no airline fee = savings). I saw a Seven with such/similar couplings at Conrad's.

The New york cycle club has a couple of great travel cases that can be rented for $25 per week, the person to contact is a lady by the name of Joanne McGarry I think,
I took one to New Zealand and back with no problems what so ever, 56cm frame.
