"Registration is now open for West Point 2006 - July 4th weekend.

Four days (three nights) of wonderful biking await us over the traditional NYCC July 4th weekend at West Point.

Saturday July 1st:
Meet at CPW/72nd St, leave our bags and pick a ride (A,B or C) to West Point. Lunch/swim/tour the campus as you prefer. Dinner at the Thayer Hotel.
Sunday July 2nd:
Breakfast at Thayer Hotel. Pick a beautiful ride for the day and return for a picnic BBQ on campus. (We hope it'll be at or near the concert and fireworks).
Monday July 3rd:
Another Thayer breakfast. Another beautiful day's riding. Dinner and dancing on board the River Rose as we cruise the Hudson River.
Tuesday July 4th:
Breakfast followed by rides back to Manhattan, where we pick up our bags on W 70th St.

Included:
3 nights accommodation, 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners, boat cruise, bagggage shuttle to/from Manhattan.

Event always sells out.
Cost will be $375 per person sharing double room. (Some ""triples"" - two rooms sharing a bathroom - will be available and may be specifically requested by specifying 2 roommates during registration).

Registration is now open at.

Logistical question: How do folks typically get their bikes, along with their luggage for a 3-day vacation, to the 72nd Street departure point?

Thanks. Looking forward to attending!

On yer bike!

Participants are asked to bring as little luggage as possible (limited space in luggage shuttle) and, in my experience, typically ride with a backpack to the departure point.
Those with a longer commute can of course take subway (72nd St stop on B,C at CPW or nearby 1,2,3 at Broadway) or other private transport of their choice.

REGISTER NOW - event filling up!!! - June 01, 2006

Register by Monday to avoid possibility of being placed on the waiting list.
Thayer Hotel is requesting all names by Monday and we risk losing some of our allotted rooms if we don't confirm them by Monday June 5th.
(I will be out of town this weekend but will answer any queries on Sunday evening/Monday morning at latest).
