Heard from some riders out on Sunday that a cyclist was seen on the ground in Piermont. He was eventually taken away via ambulance and pronounced dead. Rather grim news indeed - does anyone have any concrete information?

the cyclist was walking on the sidewalk between Piermont Bicycle Connection and the ice cream shop. he was witnessed to have been short of breath and then subsequently went into respiratory arrest and then cardiac arrest.
The paramedics and ambulance crew defribulated once on scene and then transported to Nyack hospital.
I am not sure of his final outcome

a cyclist had a heart attack & was taken to the hospital
I was advised by the police dept that he was not involved
in an accident and the officer didn't know if he died
