I'll be taking some laps tomorrow (Monday) night starting from 90th and Central Park West. Start time 7:00pm. B-18 pace.

Cheers,
George

more laps

Thanks to those that joined me for a few laps tonight. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I.

For those of you who have not ridden the Park in the evening, you're missing a real treat. It's eerily quiet and quite different from daytime riding.

I'll be riding again (weather permitting) on Wednesday night. If you're free, consider this your invitation to add a mid-week workout to your itinerary.

Cheers,
George

lights?

You riding with lights? If so, is the light limited for others to see you or stronger for you to see the road/obstructions?

No lights required

Ron:

First of all, daylight savings time kicks in next week so it will still be light at 7pm. Secondly, the loop drive has street lights. It's not the same as riding in daylight, but you can certainly see the road well enough to not need lighting.

A headlight can't hurt of course, but you can get by without one. I definitely recommend wearing reflective clothing, and using a blinking red tail-light when coming to the Park in the evening. These items are much more necessary on your ride to and from the Park than they are once you're on the loop.
