Is there a Hogwich ride happening this Sunday?
If so, details as to start place and time?
Thanks.
Hogwich ride Sunday?
8:30 A.M. on the NJ side of the GW bride, as I understand, led by Mordecai Silver.
I sure hope that on your fabulous new bike you're not going to push the pace up to 26mph like last Sunday's ride (so I heard), or A-rider-wannabees like myself will never be able to keep up!
26 mph on a flat road is faster than most cat 3/4 races.
now, if you meant 26 mph on a downhill, then that's too SLOW in most cases. i hope we were faster!

"No, not us - the word is that Christy's ""Casual"" A-ride this past Sunday reached 26mph on the flats!"
i thought you meant the hogwich ride because you said sunday. christy's ride was saturday.
I was on Christy's ride last Saturday and for a short stretch on a flat section for maybe a mile or so and with a nice tailwind, the pace did hit around 28 mph according to my computer. I was sitting in and had nothing to do with the pace. If you are wondering who was pulling, I think it was the leader of the Giro, lol. That wasn't typical of the pace all day though but the overall pace going up to Nyack was a bit faster then anyone expected. I think this week's ride will be more subdued (I hope anyway) so come out and join us.
"Weather permitting, I'm going to do another ""casual"" ride Saturday. I'm keeping this one under 25 mph - promise!"
no way - that ride was not 26mph on the flat. There were a couple slight downhills we got up to that, BUT we had a good tailwind as well.
Hey Sienna,
Yeah, but I got dropped on the Hogwich ride last week. That $#%* new bike, it's just not fast enough!
Yeah, right! I'll race ya up Little Tor on Sunday, okay?
"Todd has other obligations this week, but the Hogwich ride is ON! We're leaving at 8:30 a.m. from the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge. Remember: the path on the south side is open.
This being the last Hogwich ride, I think it's fitting that we go the whole hog. So the plan is to do Little Tor before looping back down to Nyack. It would be an anticlimax not to do Little Tor.
We'll try to do the circular rotating double paceline, which worked smoothly last week. See the illustration here (""circular""). The difference is that we have the slower lane on the right, not the left.
See you Sunday!
